A global health educator & trainer who aims to empower individuals with the tools to achieve lifelong wellness. Rickard joins the show before new years resolutions, to talk about smoking and the 3 "benefits" that keep smokers from quitting as mentioned in her book, The Benefits of Smoking: WHY It's So Hard to Quit Smoking & WHAT You Can Do About It.

William Taylor

The former meteorologist considers himself somewhat of a Saints superfan.  Taylor talks about the Saints being out of the playoffs and mentions the former Voice of the Tigers, John Ferguson.

Dr. Ron Faucheux is President of Clarus Research Group, a full-service research and polling company based in Washington DC. Faucheux joins the show to discuss the importance or relevance.

Aisha Dottory

Aisha Dottory is a corporate event planner and her father, Ronnie Dottory, is diagnosed with Alzheimers.  Dottory tells the story of how they found her father in another state by use of social media.

Tyler Bridges and Jeremy Alford join the show to promote their book Long Shot.  This book follows the campaigns of David Vitter and John Bel Edwards in their race to become the governor of Louisiana.  Bridges and Alford join Jim to talk about the stories from the book.  They will be at Barnes and Noble on Perkins Rowe tonight for book signings.

Michael Wolf

Attorney Mike Wolf joins the show to discuss 3rd party voting, specifically Gary Johnson and the Libertarian Party in this year's presidential election.  Wolf predicts that there will be more demand for a 3rd party candidate in the future.

Janet Pace is the President and CEO of Volunteers of America  Greater Baton Rouge. She graduated from Methodist University in Dallas with a degree in Journalism and Political Science. Shannon Abney is the Tax Credit Coordinator for Volunteers of America Greater Baton Rouge.

George Sells

Former WAFB anchor George Sells joined the show to discuss the year of the outsider in politics. Sells served as the anchor of WAFB for 24 years before retiring. He was born in Kingsport, TN and arrived in Baton Rouge in 1988. He is a graduate of Northwestern University.

Grizzaffi joins the show to talk with Jim about The Cajun Spoon.  An authentic dry mix company, The Cajun Spoon now has a deal with Walmart and customers can expect to see Grizzaffi's products in Walmart in 2017.

Ali Akbar and Lamar White take sides when discussing Donald Trump's victory as the president-elect.  Ali and Lamar rationalize Donald Trump becoming the President of the "Divided" States of America.

Sharon Weston Broome

The Mayor-elect of Baton Rouge joined the show to discuss her victory and her plans for the city of Baton Rouge after taking office. Sharon Weston Broome made history as the first woman to be elected to the position; she was also the first African-American woman to be a member of the Louisiana State Senate for District 15. 

 

Steven Waguespack 

Stephen Waguespack is the President and Ceo of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI). Stephen served as an advisor to former Gov. Bobby Jindal, including chief of staff. He is a native of Louisiana and graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Mass Communication.

Hour Two

Peter Sclafani

The Chef of Ruffino's in Baton Rouge joined the show to discuss the food of 2016. Sclafani was named as a top chef in Louisiana in 225 Magazine.

Assistant News Director at Louisiana Radio Network, Michelle opens the show with a recap of numbers from the elections this past weekend.  Michelle talks about the congressional races around the state, the taxes that were shot down in EBR parish and Sharon Weston Broome's triumph.

Rannah Gray

Author and public relations consultant joins the show to talk about Sharon Weston Broome winning the mayoral race.  Gray talks about Broome's obstacles while coming into office as the first woman Mayor of Baton Rouge.  She also describes party relations and their relevancy to those it represents.

HOUR TWO

Bob Mann & Earl Casey

Bob Mann is in studio and Earl Casey joins the show over the phone.  Mann and Casey join Rannah in discussing politics in the media and how fake news has revolutionized, changing the way people receive information.
