His book about General Fox Conner presents the first complete biography of a significant figure in American military history.  Rabalais joins the show to describe how the idea for this book came to him and his journey of writing it.

Wilfong is a Republican, Sherman is a Democrat.  Wilfong and Sherman talk about the Senate race and Donald Trump's visit to Baton Rouge on December 9.  They discuss campaign advertisements of Campbell and Kennedy, determining who should and will win.

Author Dava Sobel briefly discusses her book The Glass Universe: How The Ladies of the Harvard Observatory Took the Measure of the Stars.  Sobel is a former science reporter for the New York Times and the recipient of the National Science Board's award for Individual Public Service.

Dr. Williams is a civic leader, entrepreneur and teacher. She received her law degree from Howard  University and was the first African American to run a congressional campaign in the state of Louisiana. She is joined by former Baton Rouge Metro Councilman, Darrell Glasper. The two discussed Trump's victory and his visit to Baton Rouge.

Tippi Hedren

The Birds star Tippi Hedren joins the show to talk about her book, Tippi: A Memoir.  Tippi talks about, The Birds and Marnie and some of her favorite and not-so-favorite moments while filming. Hedren is an animal rights activist with a love for big cats.

Brian Curtis

After bombing of Pearl Harbor, the 1942 Rose Bowl was moved from Pasadena to Durham, North Carolina, out of fear of Japanese attacks on the West Coast. It remains the only Rose Bowl game to ever be played outside of Pasadena. In Fields of Battle, Brian Curtis sheds light on the teamwork, grit, and determination that took place on both the football fields and the battlefields of World War II.

Morris is a writer for the Baton Rouge Advocate.  He recently wrote a piece about Pearl Harbor.  Morris joins the show to talk about the story and what it was like in Baton Rouge on December 7, 75 years ago.

Zach Williams

Zach Williams is from North Carolina and is writing a book about Bo Rein.  Williams recalls Rein's plane crash and talks about the LSU football coach that never coached a game.  The working title for now is 40 minutes to Baton Rouge: The story of Robert "Bo" Rein.

The president of the Louisiana Family Forum joined the show to discuss the Christian choice between Foster Campbell and John Kennedy in the 2016 Senate race.

Hour Two

Jan Moller

The director of the Louisiana Budget Project joined the show to discuss the future of The Affordable Care under the Trump administration. Other accomplishments include being an award-winning journalist with the New Orleans Time's-Picayune.

Richard Painter 

Richard Painter is a Professor of Corporate Law at the University of Minnesota. He received his a B.A. in history from Harvard University and his J.D. from Yale Law School.

Marx joins the studio to describe his relationship with Bert Jones, Dale Brown and his journey to Baton Rouge.

Well-established journalist, writer, and politico, Honeycutt joins Jim in the second hour to discuss David Vitter, Foster Campbell and John Kennedy.  Honeycutt discusses radio spots from Foster Campbell and talks about the upcoming Senate race with Jim. 

12/02 Friday: Raising Cane's River Center, Deeply Rooted, Sam Goodwin & Chuck Redden

HOUR ONE

Michael Day

The General Manager of the Raising Cane's River Center joins the show to talk about the 2% hotel occupancy tax that will be on the ballot December 10th.  Day hopes that the tax will help to fund tourism and renovations for the River Center. 1 cent of the tax goes to Visit Baton Rouge and the other cent goes toward the River Center.

Christina Melton 

Veteran producer at Louisiana Public Broadcasting joins the show to promote a documentary coming Tuesday, December 6th at 7pm on LPB. Deeply Rooted is the story of John Coykendall’s passion to preserve the farming heritage. The seeds and stories of a small, farming culture in Southeastern Louisiana and this work is the subject of this new documentary.

Sam Goodwin

Former coach of Ed Orgeron at Northwestern State University, Goodwin remembers the first time he met Orgeron, praises him for his accomplishments and describes what makes him a good coach.

HOUR TWO

Chuck Redden

Redden is famous for his parody songs on YouTube and he joins the show to talk about the songs he created during the presidential election.  Jim plays , "Can't Touch Me," a parody about Hillary Clinton and "Trump You," since Donald won the election.
