Mike Wagenheim most recently served as executive producer and lead on-air talent for the Colonel Sports Network in Louisiana, which aired statewide and regional programming for Nicholls State University. He has been recently married and now lives in Israel.  Mike talks about life and radio in Israel and how his life has changed since his move.

Bruce Herschensohn

Stanley Bruce Herschensohn is an American political commentator, author and senior fellow at the Pepperdine University School of Public Policy in Malibu, California. Bruce Herschensohn gives insight on the presidential race and what it was like working for Richard Nixon.

HOUR ONE: 

Mark Ballard

Mark Ballard is the Editor of The Advocate Capitol news bureau covering Louisiana government and politics.  He discusses the Gubernatorial election tomorrow and the possibility of a runoff.  Ballard also says that voter turnout is expected to be about 50%. 

John Bel Edwards

John Bel Edwards is the only Gubernatorial Candidate who is a Democrat.  He shares his campaign message and plans for Louisiana.  Edwards says, "I can think of 1000 reasons not to vote for David Vitter before I get to his 'serious sin.'" Voting is tomorrow.  

Kip Holden

Kip Holden is the Mayor of Baton Rouge and a candidate for Lieutenant Governor.  He discusses his plan for Louisiana and how he would improve tourism if elected.

Ted James

Edward Ted James is a personal injury and criminal defense attorney.  He is currently a Louisiana State Representative for District 101.  He comments on the BESE election, endorsing Carolyn Hill. 

HOUR TWO: 

Billy Nungesser

Billy Nungesser is the President of Plaquemines Parish.  He is also a candidate for Lieutenant Governor.  He shares his plans for Louisiana if elected and why he is a qualified candidate. 

Barry Keim 

Barry Keim is a Professor and Louisiana State Climatologist.  He gives news on Hurricane Patricia.  Dr. Keim says this storm will be worse than the likes of Hurricanes Andrew, Camille, or Katrina. 

Gus Weill

Ron Faucheux

Ron Faucheux is a former state lawmaker and political analyst.  He shares new polls regarding the Gubernatorial election. 

HOUR TWO: 

Sara Ritchey, PhD

Sara Ritchey is a European History Professor at ULL.  She wrote Stricter gun laws for abusers could save precious lives.  Ritchey discusses her beliefs on gun control. 

Billy Nungesser

Billy Nungesser is the former Plaquemines Parish President.  He is running for Lieutenant Governor and shares his plan for Louisiana.

Carol Lee Brousseau

Carol Lee Brousseau is an actress.  She talks about her new show on Ovation Art Breakers.  

THURSDAY: Mayor of Baton Rouge Kip Holden, Louisiana Politics, Governor Jindal, and The Stelly Plan

HOUR ONE: 

Mayor of Baton Rouge Kip Holden is running for Lieutenant Governor.  He is the only Democrat running currently.  

He comments on the Miss USA pageant.  "The ratings were the highest they've had in 7 years," Holden says.  The Mayor goes on to say that Donald Trump said that the people of Baton Rouge were the happiest he's ever encountered.  

"The people of Baton Rouge are my best story tellers," Holden says as his greatest asset to show how he has changed things for the better.  "Why not have a Baton Rouge not just adopt a city... why not have an exchange program with volunteers from Baton Rouge?" 

A listener asks about the Mayor's stance against St.George.  He says, "I believe in people being together." 

He shares personal history about his mother.  "Failure is not in my vocabulary... if you don't get your life straight, you're going to meet a dead end... Start talking to your kids." 

He speaks of his collegiate experience.  "You have to apply yourself and ask for help because they are not mind readers." 

The Mayor discusses what to do about film tax credits.  

HOUR TWO: 

Representative Vic Stelly joins us to talk about The Stelly Plan and why it was repealed, and what exactly happened in 2009.  

"The most the bracket increase of taxes could affect was $900." Stelly affirms that there is no way people's income taxes could have gone up thousands of dollars.  

They discuss Governor Jindal's reaction to the Stelly Plan.  

Stelly says that the Stelly Plan could never be palatable again.  "It's not fair to tax the poor people on income taxes," he says.  

Rep. Stelly takes questions from listeners regarding various issues of Louisiana including the budget and the coastline.  

He identifies as an Independent.  

He says, "You can't deny the fact that he {David Vitter} is undefeated."
