Gubernatorial Candidates

The four major candidates for governor qualified this morning. David Vitter, Scott Angelle, John Bel Edwards, and Jay Dardenne commented on why each believe they will win the election.

Political Consultant Les Duhe joins the conversation to discuss the upcoming governors race. 

David Hudson

Author of The Handy American History Answer Book, David Hudson, chats with Jim about the history of the United States, especially Louisiana history. Hudson says he really wanted to include information about civil rights in the book. 

Hudson discusses witnessing fights and claims the most significant fight he's even seen was when Mike Tyson fought Lennox Lewis.

Two long time, overseas pen pals, Gay Smith and Dave Woods, join us in studio to talk about their 50 friendship, which developed over a love for music. They first met each other in person 14 years after they met, in 1979. 

Both Smith and Woods says they've never had a love connection just became very close friends. 

Smith says they're letters go through so much history, telling each other about events going on in each country.
