To start off the show, Mark Ballard gives us an update on the ongoing Legislative session and the increased sales taxes that have passed.

The director for the new musical, "Bob Marley's Three Little Birds," talks about producing the show, directing young adults and the concept behind the story. The children’s musical opens Friday, March 4, in Independence Park Theater.

Roger Stone talks about Donald Trump and the people of America's desire for something other than a traditional politician.  Stone also talks about the Bush family and ties with Barry Seal,  his book Jeb! and the Bush Crime Family.

The Secretary of state gives information on who can vote in the upcoming Louisiana primaries.  It is a closed primary, and you may only vote for your party.  

Nathan Landry

The Chair for Young Professionals and Students for Trump for Louisiana.  He gives his reasons for supporting Trump and why he feels Trump will win the presidential election.

Douglas Kennedy, PR manager at the LASM

Douglas introduces the new addition to the Solar System Gallery at the Louisiana Art and Science Museum--a 65-million-year-old, 1,500-pound Triceratops skull named Jason. This colossal fossil was discovered in 2011 on a private ranch in the Hell Creek Formation located in Garfield County, Montana, an area well known for its fossil findings.

Measuring 86 inches long, this massive skull exhibits the three horns and bony head frill that characterize the dinosaur species known as Triceratops, or “three-horned face.

Nola.com and The Times-Picayune columnist talks with Jim about state spending in Louisiana.  Ball discusses the state's problem isn't necessarily revenue but could possibly be blamed on tax exemptions.

U.S. Senator Cory Booker

Corey Booker briefly talks to Jim about Super Tuesday and the presidential election.  Booker expresses his support for Hillary Clinton and why he feels people are so familiar with the Clinton name.

Jeff Sadow is the author of a blog about Louisiana politics and an associate professor of political science at LSU Shreveport.  He talks with Jim about saving taxpayers' money by raising ACT scores, and the possibility of merging some of the universities to narrow down some expenditures.

Former Louisiana Secretary of Revenue, Joe Traigle now resides in North Carolina and talks to Jim about the setbacks of the state of Louisiana and former Gov. Bobby Jindal.  Traigle expresses how Louisiana is one of the poorest performing southern states and how politicians have set us back.

Author Kevin Hazzard

Kevin Hazzard, a former EMT from Atlanta, talks to Jim about his book, A Thousand Naked Strangers. He gives the behind the scenes look at what life is like answering life or death calls, delivering babies and sometimes decides who lives and who dies.

Since jobs were cut in the environmental quality department, Dr. Brown discusses what he plans to do now that he is in office.  Brown explains what he plans on improving and taking advantage of as the Sec. of Environmental Quality.

Dr. Sean Illing talks to Jim about Super Tuesday on March 1, 2016.  He discusses his predictions of the primaries and what he thinks about Donald Trump and his progression throughout the race while keeping his lead on the race to win the presidential election.

Louisiana music, movie, arts reporter & critic, John Wirt talks to Jim about what we can expect to see on the Academy Awards this weekend.  He and Jim also pay homage to New Orleans native, signer/songwriter Antoine "Fats" Domino, on his 88th birthday today.

Julie Cantrell : The Feathered Bone

Author of women's fiction, Julie stops by the show to share the release of her new book, The Feathered Bone, which touches on women trafficking. 

Michelle Gable: I'll See You in Paris

President Michael Waldman discusses the topic of voting and voicing our opinion as a nation while introducing his book, The Fight to Vote. Waldman talks to Jim about the history of voting rights in the U.S., contemporary voter registration laws and issues, the role of super-PACs (political action committees) in campaign finance, and voter fraud.

Chancellor of Southern University Law School, John Pierre

Chancellor Pierre is on the show to talk about the “2016: The Year of Charles J. Hatfield III” celebration at the Southern University Law Center (SULC), on Friday, February 26. The Law Center will host a commemoration of the 30th anniversary of  landmark cases that led to greater diversity in the Louisiana State Judiciary.  The 30th Anniversary Commemoration of Clark v. Roemer and Chisom v. Edwards will be held at 11 a.m. Friday.

Gary Wilkerson

Gary Wilkerson is on the show to talk about Kergan Bros. SONIC and their investment in child safety seats for families in need.  In New Orleans, SONIC representatives presented a check to University Medical Center New Orleans’ Louisiana Passenger Safety Task Force for the purchase of car seats at 11 a.m.  At the event, five families were among the first to receive car seats. Safety Task Force members installed the seats.

Families in need throughout the state can sign up for free seats at http://www.umcno.org/injuryprevention. The Louisiana Passenger Safety Task Force, run by the UMC New Orleans Level 1 Trauma Program, will then purchase and distribute the child safety seats based on family needs.
