He served as a United States senator in his home state of Maine from 1980 to 1995 and Senate Majority Leader for six years. He discussed his new book: A Path to Peace: A Brief History of Israeli-Palestinian Negotiations and a Way Forward in the Middle East.

Bill Grimley is a Louisiana attorney originally from Mississippi. He graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in history and LSU School of Law in 1974. In addition to practicing law he writes fiction novels and has published two books, Perception and The Benefactor.
