Billy Nungesser

Billy Nungesser is the President of Plaquemines Parish. He is also a candidate for lieutenant governor. He shares his campaign message and his plan for improving Louisiana if elected. "What better job could I ask for? Louisiana is a sportsman's paradise," Nungesser says, "If I believe in something, I can sell it. And, I believe in this state."

Kip Holden

Kip Holden is the Mayor of Baton Rouge. He is also a candidate for lieutenant governor. He also shares his campaign plan and how he will better Louisiana if he defeats Billy Nungesser. "The response has been overwhelming," Holden says, "I'm watching the words 'hope' appear in the eyes of many people." Holden also says he is backing John Bel Edwards for Governor.

HOUR TWO:

Lanny Keller

Lanny Keller is an editorial writer and columnist for The Advocate. He shares his article 'The forgotten man in the 2015 race for governor.' Keller shares his experiences "tracking" Edwin Edwards on his campaign in 1991. He also comments on Governor Jindal's drop from the 2016 presidential campaign. He says, "I suspect there was just very little financial support to someone who has not transmitted enough from the polls."

Loren Scott

LSU Economist Dr. Loren Scott predicts the price of oil gradually rising through the next few years. Scott says the supply of oil is falling. He says if oil prices stay where they are, that's bad news and isn't good for the state's budget.

Scott says the employment rate in the state is flat. He says the next governor of Louisiana makes a huge impact on the future of the Louisiana economy, his focus is on growth. Scott also discusses the minimum wage.

Hour 2:

John Bel Edwards

Democratic for Governor, John Bel Edwards, joins the show to discuss his position on the entry of Syrian refugees into Louisiana. He supports Jindal's letter sent to President Obama requesting more information on the refugees in the state. Edwards also comments of last night's gubernatorial debate.

Governor Bobby Jindal announces he is dropping out of the 2016 presidential election.

Superintendent of the Louisiana State Police Col. Mike Edmonson joins Jim in studio to discuss the death of the 6-year-old boy in Marksville, shot by city marshals. The bond has been set for $1 million dollars for both officers charged in the shooting. Edmonson urges anyone with information on the case to come forward to State Police.

Edmonson recalls his years working for State Police and the memories he's made. He comments on the letters from the Office of Motor Vehicles to drivers with a lapse in their insurance.

Hour 2:

Ed Chervenak

University of New Orleans Pollster Dr. Ed Chervenak discusses their latest poll in the gubernatorial election, which finds Democrat John Bel Edwards having a 22 point lead over Republican David Vitter.

Chervenak says many voters are disappointed in the direction of the state and highly disapprove of Governor Bobby Jindal. The poll also finds Republican Billy Nungesser with a significant lead over Democrat Kip Holden in the Lt. Governor's race.
