Cesario's book, We Throw Things at You, is dedicated to Martha White, a little-known civil rights protester from Baton Rouge who sat in the white section of a public bus before Rosa Parks staged a similar protest in Alabama. Cesario talks with Jim about White's impact on the civil rights era.

Karen Cox

Karen L. Cox is Professor of History at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and the founding director of the graduate public history program. Karen joins the show to speak about her op ed pieces in The New York Times, "We're Here, We're Queer, Y'all" and "What's the Matter With North Carolina."

Vincent Bruno & Lamar White, Jr.

Republican and former New Orleans law officer, Vincent Bruno and Democrat blogger Lamar white, assess if the Russian government was behind hacking efforts targeting the Democratic National Committee.

Patrick Juneau is the Deepwater Horizon Claims Administrator and joined the show to discuss his work with BP and the oil spill. Junueau received his Juris Doctor at  Louisiana State University Law School and attended LSU for his undergrad years.

Hour Two

Dan Moldea and Mike Chittom

Dan Moldea is a best selling author and investigative journalist, he joined Jim to speak on Russia's involvement in the Trump election. He was joined by Republican Mike Chittom to dispute Donald Trump.

Dr. Rachel Carlton Abrams joins on the show to promote her book Body Wise. Dr. Abrams takes an Integrative approach that balances conventional medicine, wellness practices, and intuition to heal the body both physically and emotionally. Dr. Abrams talks with callers to discuss ways to help understand their bodies in the conditions they are in.

Mike Shepherd

The Louisiana Music Hall of Fame Executive Director, Mike Shepherd joins the show to talk about musical legends.  Shepherd mentions Elvis Presley, Chris Owens, Al Hirt, Johnny Rivers and John Fred. 

HOUR TWO

Pat Forbes

 Pat Forbes has been the Executive Director of the state Office of Community Development since July 2011. He talks about this Friday's meeting of the Restore Louisiana Task Force. Forbes discusses the state's recovery plans that will be voted on Friday in Livingston Parish and submitted to HUD.

Bob Mann

LSU Mass Communications Professor, Bob Mann, joins the show to talk about "Tricky Dick" Nixon.  Mann discusses the former president's sabotage of the peace treaty and why he feels Nixon was a  "shady, press-averse loser."

01/03 Tuesday: Michael Bertaut and Steve Buttry

Bertaut is the Healthcare Economist and Exchange Coordinator of Blue Cross and Blue Shield. He is a certified healthcare consultant. He has 25 years of analytical experience working in healthcare, telecom and retail industry. He joined the show to discuss The Affordable Healthcare Act under President Barack Obama.

Steve Buttry

Steve Buttry is LSU's Director of Student Media and discussed the Reveille and his fight with cancer on the show.  Before coming to LSU he was the Digital Transformation Editor for Digital First Media and has 40 years experience working with news.

Cody Worsham, editor of Tiger Rag Magazine, predicts the outcome of the LSU Bowl game against Louisville.  Worsham talks about Coach O, Fournette and the game that premieres at 10 a.m. on New Year's Eve.

Sebastian Mallaby

Mallaby is a Washington Post contributing columnist and two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist.  Mallaby's book, The Man Who Knew describes the life of former Chairman of the Federal Reserve Alan Greenspan.

Ally Balthazar & Emelie Gunn

The two producers join Jim in the last segment to talk about their favorite guests on Jim's show.
