The Mayor-elect of Baton Rouge joined the show to discuss her victory and her plans for the city of Baton Rouge after taking office. Sharon Weston Broome made history as the first woman to be elected to the position; she was also the first African-American woman to be a member of the Louisiana State Senate for District 15.

Steven Waguespack

Stephen Waguespack is the President and Ceo of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI). Stephen served as an advisor to former Gov. Bobby Jindal, including chief of staff. He is a native of Louisiana and graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Mass Communication.

The Chef of Ruffino's in Baton Rouge joined the show to discuss the food of 2016. Sclafani was named as a top chef in Louisiana in 225 Magazine.

She received her law degree from Howard University and was the first African American to run a congressional campaign in the state of Louisiana. She is joined by former Baton Rouge Metro Councilman, Darrell Glasper. The two discussed Trump's victory and his visit to Baton Rouge.

After bombing of Pearl Harbor, the 1942 Rose Bowl was moved from Pasadena to Durham, North Carolina, out of fear of Japanese attacks on the West Coast. It remains the only Rose Bowl game to ever be played outside of Pasadena. In Fields of Battle, Brian Curtis sheds light on the teamwork, grit, and determination that took place on both the football fields and the battlefields of World War II.

George Morris

Morris is a writer for the Baton Rouge Advocate. He recently wrote a piece about Pearl Harbor. Morris joins the show to talk about the story and what it was like in Baton Rouge on December 7, 75 years ago.

Zach Williams

Zach Williams is from North Carolina and is writing a book about Bo Rein. Williams recalls Rein's plane crash and talks about the LSU football coach that never coached a game. The working title for now is 40 minutes to Baton Rouge: The story of Robert "Bo" Rein.
