John Wirt

Louisiana music, movie and arts reporter, John Wirt joined the show to discuss the shocking deaths we saw in music in the year 2016. They talked about everyone from local Louisiana artists to big names like Prince.

Linda Fairstein is an author and former prosecutor, where she focused primarily on crimes against women and children; she graduated from Vassar College in 1969. She joined the show to talk about her new book Into The Lion's Den.

Alexandra Zapruder

Zapruder is the author of several books and joined the show to discuss her latest book, Twenty-Six Seconds: A Personal History of the Zapruder Film. Her grandfather Abraham Zapruder filmed the assassination of John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963 in Dallas, Texas; 53 years ago today.

Joseph McBride

 

Joseph McBride is an author, film historian and professor at San Francisco State University in the Cinema Department. McBride talked about his latest book, Into the Nightmare: My Search for the Killers of President John F. Kennedy and Officer J.D. Tippit

Alex Martin, news editor from the Wall Street Journal is a former graduate of LSU.  Martin elaborates on the outcome of the presidential election and the effect voting had on the outcome of the election.  Martin also describes what Trump will do in his first 100 days in office.

Paul Arrigo

President and CEO of Visit Baton Rouge joins the show to talk about the past events with support of Mayor Kip Holden.  Arrigo describes upcoming events in Baton Rouge and an item on the ballot for a 2% hotel increase, excluding the areas of Baker, Zachary & Central.

Smiley Anders

Smiley Anders joins the show before his 70th birthday on Sunday, November 20.  He recalls when he was the editor of the LSU Reveille.  Smiley remembers Billy Cannon, the assassination of John F. Kennedy and the expansion of The Advocate.

Tyrus Thomas

Tyrus Thomas joins the show to talk about his life journey from rags to riches and comments on Fournette's decision to go pro. Thomas describes his friendship with Derrius Guice and his feelings about the Alton Sterling shooting.

Randy Hayden is president and CEO of Creative Communications Inc. and works in public relations. He stopped by the show as a spokesperson for Smoke-free East Baton Rouge to advocate for a smoke free environment in Baton Rouge.

John Schneider

 

Actor John Schneider will be on the show to discuss John Schneider Studios, a film studio he established in Holden, Louisiana and upcoming movies and projects he has involved in. Schneider is mostly known for playing Bo Duke on The Dukes of Hazzard. He can also be seen perviously acting in the TV series Smallville as Johnathan Kent and The Have and Have Nots created by Tyler Perry.

Dianne Andrews and Lamar White

Trump supporter Dianne Andrews and Hillary Clinton supporter Lamar White, joined Jim in studio to discuss the two candidates. Andrews is the host of a cable show titled, "Dianne Andrews in Black and White" and Lamar White is a blogger, journalist and disability rights activist from Alexandria, LA.

John Carter Cash is the son of Johnny Cash. Forever Words:  The Unknown Poems is a collection of never-before-published poems by Johnny Cash, edited and introduced by Pulitzer-prize winning poet Paul Muldoon. Cash joins the show to describe the poems and what it was like growing up as the son of Johnny and June.

Justice of the Peace Moses Evans and Rev. David Diamond join Jim in studio to chat about the presidential election. Now that Donald Trump is the president-elect, David Diamond and Moses Evans recollect on Trump's campaign and the values he will uphold, if any, while president.
