Bodi White is a current Republican member of the Louisiana State Senate and is a candidate for mayor-president in Baton Rouge; He was joined by a supporter of his, Phil Preis. White is a Baton Rouge native and a Southeastern Louisiana University alum. He attended Loyola for graduate school and has six years of experience with law enforcement.

Dr. Charles Boustany is a retired physician and a Republican candidate for the Louisiana State Senate in 2016. He is a native of Lafayette, Louisiana and has served as a US Representative for Louisiana's 3rd congressional district since 2013.

Steve Barnes is a well known journalist in the state of Arkansas and has been on air since 1968. He got his start as a copy boy in Little Rock for KTHV-TV and went on to have work published in the New York Times and received the University of Arkansas journalist of the year award. 

Ken Perret 

Ken Perret is a candidate for the District 9 seat for the Metro Council of Baton Rouge. He is an engineer with experience in the federal and state highway departments. He received a degree in civil engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He joined The Jim Engster Show to discuss his candidacy and more.

Jeff stopped by briefly to discuss this weened's LSU vs Alabama game and the team's chances of wining; he also gave his take on the Chicago Cub's win in the 2016 World Series.

They will be having their 18th annual gala this Thursday on November 3. Jackson is a native of New Orleans and an LSU graduate.
