Stanley Fish

Fish is a professor of humanities and law at Florida International University, in Miami.  His recent piece in The New York Times argues that college professors should keep their opinions about politics to themselves.  Fish feels that while on university time, professors should be restricted to discuss scholarly topics.

Ali Akbar & Dan Moldea

Political activist Ali Akbar is not a fan of Hillary Clinton. Investigative journalist Dan Moldea is a fan.  Akbar and Moldea debate over which presidential candidate they feel would make a better president.

Dr. Ernest Johnson

President of the NAACP in Louisiana comments on the recent shootings and police brutality since Alton Sterling. 

Melissa Flournoy & Elbert Guillory

Former lawmaker Melissa Flournoy and former member of U.S. Senate Elbert Guillory agree that at both conventions, certain issues should be addressed rather than political mudslinging.  However, they do not agree on which candidate should win the presidency.

Former congressman, Billy Tauzin joins Jim in the first hour of the show to discuss the two presidential candidates, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

Agriculture Commissioner Mike Strain has endorsed Congressman Charles Boustany. They both join the show to announce the endorsement; Mike Strain explains his reasoning for the endorsement and Boustany talks about his plans if elected.

Jesse Ventura

Former Gov. of Minnesota Ventura is a friend of Donald Trump, however he is not voting for him this election.  Ventura gives his opinions about the presidency and a lot of the issues our country is facing. Ventura also touches on his book, "Sh*t Politicians Say."

Dr. Jan Kasofsky and her colleague John Nosacka join the show to give a mental health perspective on the tragedies that have occurred in Baton Rouge.  Dr. Kasofsky explains what steps should be taken to prevent and growth from trauma involved with these tragedies.

White is the creator and publisher of The Red Shtick, a political satirical online magazine. he and Jim talk about the Republican convention last week and the opening day of the Democratic convention.

Pollster Jim Kitchens joins the show to discuss the Senate race as a part of Foster Campbell's team. Kitchens talks about beating David Duke in a previous Senate race.

Bill Fletcher

Political consultant Fletcher joins Kitchens on the show to discuss the Senate race also as a part of Foster Campbell's team.

Mike Chittom is a voting delegate and reviews some of the highlights of last weeks Republican convention and the remarks made at the Democratic convention.

Lamar White, Jr.

Writer and Owner of CenLamar.com joins the show from the Democratic Convention in Philadelphia.  He explains what is expected to happen this week during the convention.

HOUR TWO

Gus Weill

Author and public relations specialist joins the show to discuss Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.  Weill addresses the rumors of Russia hacking into Hillary's e-mails.

Ben Bagert

As a previous Senate candidate, Bagert joins the show and discusses David Duke's decision to run for Senate.  He also expands on Hillary Clinton and the email scandal.

Chairman of Lipsey's Firearms, Richard Lipsey, joins Jim in studio to talk about gun laws in Louisiana. Lipsey mentions gun safety programs, as well as, enforcing our gun laws. He discusses the use of modern assault rifles. Lipsey also serves on the Board of Regents.

Hour 2: 

Scott Wilfong and Dayne Sherman

Political Consultants, Republican Scott Wilfong and Democrat Dayne Sherman, join the conversation to talk about the November presidential election. Sherman and Wilfong discuss the Republican National Convention, Trump's speech, and Ted Cruz refusing to endorse Trump.

Decorated war hero, Jack Estes, joins the conversation to discuss military veterans returning home and killing themselves. Estes says many veterans suffer from PTSD and about 20 are committing suicide everyday. He is the founder of the Fallen Warriors Foundation and author of A Soldier's Son. Estes comments on the two military veterans who killed police officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge. He served in the Marine Corps.
