Columnist Jeff Passan talks about the pitching arm in baseball and how its vulnerability to injury is hurting players and the game, from Little League to the majors. His views are found in his recent book, The Arm, and article in NY Times, "Baseball is Injuring our Kids." 

Pres. of Louisiana Federation of Teachers, Steve Monaghan

The current President of The Louisiana Federation of Teachers, Steve Monaghan, comes on the show to announce his retirement.  Monaghan talks about the status of education, possibilities for his successor and more on the show.

DA Hillar Moore

District Attorney Hillar Moore comes on the show to talk with Jim about crime rates in south Louisiana and addresses the murders of former Saints defensive end, Will Smith as well as the two Southern University students, Lashuntae Benton and Annette January.

Robert Clark is a freelance photographer based in New York City and works with the world's leading magazines and major publishing houses, as well as on cutting edge advertising campaigns.  His book, "Feathers," offers a captivating perspective on the vast beauty and myriad functions of a seemingly simple thing: the bird feather. Frank Mullen

Huey Long joins us from back in time with the help of impersonator Frank Mullen.  Mullen impersonates historical figures and has been doing so since 1998.  He compares qualities of Huey Long with that of the current presidential candidates.

Susanne Duplantis ; "Just Eat It"

Duplantis talks with Jim about using left-over food and incorporating it into new dishes to reduce the wasting of food.  Her event is called, "Just Eat It."

Albert White; District 29

White discusses his platforms and what he would do if elected as State Representative of District 29.

John Wirt

Wirt joins Jim to talk about the entertainment and festivals currently happening in Baton Rouge. 

Flashback; Gary Carter

For flashback Friday we hear an interview with Jim and the late, world famous catcher, Gary Carter in 1982. Carter died from brain cancer in 2012.

Vereta Lee

Another candidate for District 29, Vereta feels very passionate about funding public education.  Vereta wants to change TOPS but feels that those who have earned the grades for it should receive it no matter their income.

The former commissioner of the LHSAA discusses a bill about school divisions in sports and the effects it will have on high school athletics.

Dr. Faye Williams

The civic leader talks with Jim about the presidential election, and her predictions on the best candidate for the job.  She focuses mainly on the Democratic party.

HOUR 2:

Regis Philbin

Television legend, Regis Philbin, opens up our second hour with Jim and reminisces on how he got into show business.  Regis talks about Donald Trump and performing at the L'auberge in Baton Rouge.

Dan Moldea

The Investigative reporter gives Jim some of his opinions on the perceptions of our current presidential candidates.

Mike Wagenheim

Mike Wagenheim most recently served as executive producer and lead on-air talent for the Colonel Sports Network in Louisiana, which aired statewide and regional programming for Nicholls State University. He has been recently married and now lives in Israel.  Mike talks about life and radio in Israel and how his life has changed since his move.

Bruce Herschensohn

Stanley Bruce Herschensohn is an American political commentator, author and senior fellow at the Pepperdine University School of Public Policy in Malibu, California. Bruce Herschensohn gives insight on the presidential race and what it was like working for Richard Nixon.

Edmond Jordan

Edmond Jordan has been an attorney for 17 years, representing the Louisiana Public Service Commission, The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality and The United States Department of Homeland Security, in addition to private practice.  He is running for the open seat of District 29.

Commissioner Foster Campbell

The Commissioner is a Democratic candidate for the United States Senate seat being vacated by the Republican David Vitter. The primary election will coincide with the presidential general election.  Campbell explains the effects this coincidence will have on the outcomes of both elections.

Juan Williams

Author of "We the People," and political analyst for FOX News.  In his book, Williams reveals how each of our modern-day founders have extended the Founding Fathers original vision and changed fundamental aspects of our country.

 

Justin Roberts

Jim speaks briefly with U.S. Army Chaplain (Capt.) Justin Roberts. In his upcoming documentary "No Greater Love," Roberts sets out to bridge this gap between the American public and its combat veterans through extensive footage he shot in Afghanistan and follow-up interviews with soldiers and Gold Star wives and families.  This film will be featured in the International Film Festival.
