Daniel Oppenheimer: Exit Right

Daniel Oppenheimer is a writer and short documentary filmmaker whose articles and videos have been featured in The New York Times, The Atlantic, Tablet Magazine, and Salon.com.  He is on the show today to talk about his first book, Exit Right. In this book, Oppenheimer tells the stories of six major political figures whose journeys away from the left reshaped the contours of American politics in the twentieth century.

Jensen Moore

Jensen Moore completed her doctorate at the University of Missouri School of Journalism with specializations in strategic and health communication. John Julian McKeithen (May 28, 1918 – June 4, 1999) was the 49th Governor of Louisiana, serving from 1964 to 1972. A Democrat from the town of Columbia, he was the first governor of his state in the twentieth century to serve two consecutive terms. He strongly advocated the construction of the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans.Former Louisiana Governor John McKeithen remarks on the LSU budget in 1988 with board member Beychok.  They also discuss Pete Maravich.
